Ericsson named sole global tech partner in SK Telecom-led AI-RAN pilot

SK Telecom just picked one vendor for its government-backed AI-RAN pilot — and locked out the GPU camp.

Ericsson will deploy telco-grade RAN at a live autonomous vehicle site in Pyeongtaek through 2027, testing whether radio access networks can handle AI workloads without throwing GPUs at the problem.
